Project Overview
At The Hub shopping precinct, the site required an effective acoustic fencing solution to reduce noise transfer between the busy retail strip and nearby residential homes, while maintaining a natural visual finish that suited the surrounding environment.
Key Challenge
The fence needed to meet strict Australian Standards for noise reduction and be constructed within a tight build schedule. The builder required a large volume of materials delivered quickly, without disrupting onsite works or delaying the overall project timeline.
Our Solution
Narangba Commercial supplied 1,300 acoustic treated pine palings and 75 treated pine rails in a single bulk order. Materials were delivered with a next day turnaround and onsite delivery to keep construction moving without interruption. Treated pine was selected for its durability in Queensland conditions and its acoustic performance.
The fence was constructed to achieve ‘A Weighted Sound Reduction Index (Rw) of not less than 25.0 in line with AS/NZS ISO 717.1’, using absorptive timber materials to meet compliance requirements.
